Heating a high-purity hydrogen gas stream requires precise watt-density control to prevent thermal runaways, manage high flow velocities, and ensure total system safety. To meet these demanding specifications, we utilized our specialized Mini Clean Flow (MCF) Heater - Large Capacity architecture, tailored to the following operational parameters:

  • Target Outlet Temperature: 240°C (464°F), providing the optimal thermal state for the downstream energy generation process.
  • Total Power Output: 6.0 kW running on a standard 240V power supply./li>
  • Ultra-Low Watt Density: 7 watts per square inch (W/in2). This low watt density prevents localized overheating, protects the heater element from premature fatigue, and ensures safe operation in a hydrogen environment.
  • Integrated Thermal Monitoring: A built-in Type K thermocouple positioned directly at the heater source. This allows for real-time, high-accuracy temperature tracking and instantaneous feedback for the control loop.
  • Compact Footprint: Measuring just 4.5" in diameter by 55" long, this streamlined configuration delivers high thermal output without demanding excessive space.
  • Industrial Connections: Equipped with heavy-duty DN25 flanges on both the inlet and the outlet to ensure a leak-proof, high-integrity mechanical connection.
  • Hazardous Location Safety: Built with a rugged NEMA 7 enclosure, specifically designed to contain internal explosions and prevent the ignition of surrounding hazardous hydrogen atmospheres.
